How/where are wow-cupcakes made?
All our cupcakes are handmade in the Wow-Cupcakes kitchen. We don't use industrial equipment, all our cupcakes are hand made and decorated in small batches. It takes longer but they taste so much better.


Can you do me a special design/theme/colour?
Yes.  We bake and decorate cupcakes freshly for every order and buttercream and be coloured if you wish. Please see our Decorations page for some examples of what we have available. If you would like something not shown on our website please let us know, we will always try our very best to provide everything you need.


How do I place my order/ how much notice do you need?
Simply contact with an idea of what you’d like. Please provide as much information as you can and we
will get back to you as soon as possible. If the order is urgent, please make this clear and we will make your
enquiry a priority. We ask for a minimum of 5 days notice however we do get booked up very quickly especially on Fridays and the weekend.


Do you have a Cupcakes stand to hire?
Yes. We have a large selection of cake stands available some are FREE which is subject to availability, these stands are very popular and only confirmed with with full payment of your cupcakes order. If you have a particular stand you wish to hire please give as much notice as possible.


How are your cupcakes packaged?
Our cupcakes are gift boxed, tied with ribbons and include a gift tag with your personal message and can be delivered to your door. Delivery charges apply. We also offer a luxury Keepsake Gift box which holds 16 cupcakes for that special occasion.

Is there a minimum order?
We have a minimum order of 6 cupcakes however we can sometimes accommodate a smaller orders subject to availability, please ask.

How many different flavours can I have? 
All our cupcakes are freshly baked to order, we never freeze them, therefore we offer a minimum of 6 cupcakes in anyone flavour, some of our flavours have a minimum order of 12 you will see this clearly stated in our flavour guide. On larger orders we offer a minimum of 12 Cupcakes in anyone flavour and recommend a maximum of 3 flavour choices for your guests.

How many cupcakes should I allow per person?
Wow-cupcakes are baked in muffin sized cases and we recommend 1 per person. On large events or when offering a variety of  flavours we recommend 1 or 2 dozen extra cupcakes.


How/where do you deliver wow-cupcakes?
We personally hand delivery all our orders to ensure they reach you in perfect condition and offer convenient 1 hours delivery slots. Deliveries are made within Hampshire however dependant on your event we may deliver further afield. Deliveries within 5 miles of Lordswood, Southampton, Hampshire will be £5; with a small extra charge for deliveries outside this area. If you are sending cupcakes as a gift to someone we can email you a photo of your order, please request this free service at the time of ordering.

Can I collect me cupcakes to avoid delivery charges?
Collection is always welcome, please note we do not have a shop front and all our cupcakes are baked to order.


Are your cupcakes nut free?
Due to severe nut allergies we never have nuts in our home however we cannot guarantee that our raw ingredients have been produced in a nut free environment. Please contact us with your Cupcake flavour request and will advice you of exact ingredients used and any manufactures warnings on the packaging.


Can you cater for special dietary needs?
We have a son with many severe allergies so know what its like to try to find a cake that can accommodate a very restrictive diet, we have recently added gluten and wheat free cupcakes and dairy and egg free cupcakes to our range, for other special diets we will liaise with you to try to create a cake that meets your specific dietary needs.  They is a minimum order of 12 Free From cupcakes however it is possible to freeze them. If you would like vegetarian cupcakes please let us know when ordering so we can avoid using decorations containing gelatine.


How should I store my cupcakes?
We are sure you will want to eat all your cupcakes immediately however if you would like to save a few, they will keep in there box for 2 days or in an airtight container somewhere cool and dry and they will stay yummy for 3/4 days. Never put them in the fridge this can make the cake dry out quicker and the buttercream go hard.


What ingredients do you use?
Full ingredients for any flavour are available upon request.


Ordering and Securing your date
Payment is required at the time of booking for orders taken more than a month in advance we ask for a 30% deposit with the balance payable 1 month before your event. Any quote provided is valid for 7 days and all orders are only confirmed with payment, we reserve the right to continuing taking orders for any given date until payment has been received. Payment can be make by BACS, cash or our Online payment is operated through Google Checkout, we will email you an invoice for payment by credit and debit card. We are currently unable to take payment over the phone

What happens if I need to cancel my order?
Deposits are to secure your date and are non-refundable. If you need to cancel an order under 50 Cupcakes please phone us giving a minimum of 72 hours notice. Where work has begun or special items ordered we will refund accordingly. For Cancellations within 48 hours no refund will be made. For Large corporate orders paid by pro-forma invoice we must receive written notification to cancel your order. You will be entitled to a 70% refund if written cancellation is received 1 month prior to your event. For events cancelled within 7-30 days prior to delivery/collection you will be entitles to a 50% refund. Cancellations with 7 days no refunded will be made.

Are you registered and insured?
We are certified in food hygiene and have been approved for the purpose or catering by the environmental health department and conform to all food safety & hygiene requirements as specified by the food standards agency.
We hold full public Liability insurance and are Members of The British Sugar Craft Guild.
